Interbit Data Hires Meditech Veteran as VP Sales - Exceptional Growth Supports Expansion

Interbit Data, a leading provider of secure and reliable access to information in the MEDITECH® Hospital Information System, announces today that they have hired Edward Norton as vice president of sales.

Natick, MA (PRWEB) May 2, 2005 -- Interbit Data, a leading provider of secure and reliable access to information in the MEDITECH® Hospital Information System, announces today that they have hired Edward Norton as vice president of sales. Ed comes to Interbit Data from MEDITECH where he was formerly the Director of Regional sales. In addition, Interbit Data also announces signing 34 new customers in the first quarter of 2005. Following a record year in 2004, demand for its data access and distribution products has not weakened. With Q1 results following last year’s continuous upward trends, Interbit Data is positioned to expand its operations.

"Edward Norton brings a strong background in sales of software solutions to the healthcare market place," said Arthur Young, president of Interbit Data. "His tactical and strategic sales skills will help us achieve broader market penetration and even stronger relationships with our clients.”

Healthcare facilities continue to face several challenges due to HIPAA compliance regulations regarding data access and reporting. Providing healthcare workers access to the MEDITECH system patient information in a secure, convenient, and cost-effective manner is achieved through the NetSolutions products, designed to provide HIPAA-compliant access and distribution of information across the Internet.

This trend has led to an increase in sales of the NetSolutions products. These 34 new clients include a cross section of major hospitals, community hospitals, and medical centers in the United States and Canada such as Saint Elizabeth Regional Medical Center in Lincoln NE, Cambridge Memorial Hospital in Cambridge ON, Children’s Hospital in Philadelphia PA, Houlton Regional Hospital in Houlton ME, Independence Regional Health Center in Independence MO, Immanuel St. Joseph's Mayo Health Systems in Mankato MN, and Columbia Hospital in West Palm Beach FL.

The NetSolutions product line enables clients to send information securely in various formats such as fax, print, email, or as a file transfer, helping healthcare providers connect doctors, staff, and technical support to the data needed for their day-to-day operations. All NetSolutions products conform to the HIPAA-compliance regulations.
